Nissan 350Z

Brains and brawn

The 350Z is a clever combination of raw power and cutting edge technology. This potent pairing makes driving just as it should be: supremely sporty yet simple and safe.

Pure power

The 3.5-litre V6 beneath the bonnet doesn’t rely on turbochargers and superchargers. We wanted to keep it as pure as possible to maximise driver enjoyment. So we applied racing car technology to the new all-alloy engine. The result is a muscular 313PS power plant that pulls strongly in any gear from low in the rev range all the way to the 7,500rpm limit.

Bluetooth hands-free built in

You don’t want any distractions while you’re driving but it’s always good to keep in touch. Pairing your mobile phone with the 350Z’s Bluetooth system ensures you can get the most out of your phone " and car " as safely as possible.

Bi-Xenon headlights

The headlights employ the latest bi-xenon technology for improved safety. At night increased beam width improves vision to the side while projector mountings let you focus further up the road, giving more time to react to potential danger.

LEDs all round

Light Emitting Diodes is the very latest technology in car illumination. LEDs deliver the same amount of light as traditional halogen bulbs but require less current. This means the alternator, used by the car to generate its electricity, doesn’t have to draw as much power from the engine leaving more for you to have fun with. It’s a simple solution that enhances safety and driver pleasure.

Perfect balance

The 350Z’s weight has been deliberately spread to ensure the handling puts a smile on your face. By having 53% of its mass at the front, the car’s traction on the turn-in to corners is maximised. Under acceleration out of a bend, weight shifts to the rear, boosting grip to the wheels that transmit power to the road.

In-built stability

Like a single seater racing car the 350Z’s wheels have been situated at each corner with the space between maximised. By putting the driver in the middle of this long wheelbase, it allows the engine to be moved back and the fuel tank to be shifted forwards. With the centre of gravity half way between the axles the result is impressive stability at high speed.

Road hugging aerodynamics

From front to back, top to bottom, the 350Z has been designed to slip through the air with the least resistance possible. The roof has been sculpted to control air passing over the car so that when it reaches the rear spoiler it’s translated into downforce that glues the car to the road. Even the surface beneath the 350Z has been shaped to limit air turbulence at speed.

Speed sensitive steering

The power steering on the 350Z varies the amount of assistance it gives according to how fast you’re going. At low speeds, manoeuvres like parking are made easier by increasing the assistance. But as speed builds the steering gets less aid, giving the driver more detailed feedback from the road.
